The Plight of Women in Afghanistan
The Taliban’s draconian policies have confined women to their homes, denying them not only the right to work or study but also the opportunity to participate in society. These courageous women, once full of hope and ambition, now face a grim reality where their potential and contributions are stifled.

The situation for women in Afghanistan under Taliban rule is dire and heart-wrenching. With each passing day, their freedoms are stripped away, and their voices silenced. Women are barred from education, forbidden from working in most professions, and restricted from leaving their homes without a male escort. Dreams of independence and equality have been replaced by fear and oppression.
Despite these challenges, Afghan women continue to show remarkable resilience. They seek ways to support their families, hold onto their dignity, and fight for a better future, even in the face of such overwhelming adversity.

About us
While Afghanistan suffers under the harsh rule of the Taliban, coupled with economic crisis, hunger, and despair, we at Bibi Safran strive to bring hope. The saffron we sell was carefully cultivated and harvested by Afghan women before the current turmoil. Though it is not ten years old, saffron is known for its exceptional ability to be stored for many years while maintaining its vibrant aroma, flavor, and quality.
By selling this saffron, we provide these women with the financial support they need to survive poverty, fear, and uncertainty. The proceeds not only help sustain their families but also give them hope for a brighter future. Through partnerships with NGOs, we also aim to connect Afghan women to the internet, enabling access to online schooling and new opportunities.
